It’s almost as if schools push and ideology that benefits schools.

Bruh, trades are in high fucking demand right now too. Between now and 2020 there are suppose to be 300,000 more jobs and that’s just for welder.

Shit, they’ll pay for you to learn how to do it.

I just finished high school and got a untility job in a factory and I have almost no experience. They’re gonna train me for everything plus it has full health benefits.

Trades are fucking great.

My husband is a welder, and is very very good at it. He got hired by a locksmith company pretty much just by walking in and going “Yes I can weld.”

All of the other guys there were great at locksmithing, but none of them were trained welders, and they needed someone who could build custom doors and frames.

They trained him to do lock stuff too, so now he can weld AND pick locks.

The owner of the company, when he handed out Christmas bonuses, looked at him and went “Dude we literally cannot fire you because we’d be screwed so here’s your bonus and also we’re giving you a raise.”

Welders are in desperate demand.

Blows kisses to this post. Anyway, learn a trade, unionize, wear your PPE, memorize OSHA’s phone number.

teachers really need to stop treating lgbt stuff as a Hot Debate Topic in class,. like think critically for 0.2 seconds about your lgbt students and the effect that having an important part of you that youve already struggled with argued about publically can & will have

A Call For Information

So, the “BPD doesn’t cause median systems” post is gone now. We deleted it because it put quite a few people in the community on edge and, reflecting back on it, we honestly can’t blame them.

This blog is meant to be a safe space for all, and if a post is making you all uncomfortable, it has to go. However, this subject is a bit near and dear to us, and we would honestly love to share information about it here.

So, if anybody knows of a similar post (preferably by someone who both experiences BPD and has a median system), we’d love to share it here!

-James

P.S. To the last anon, I know I came off as aggressive and perhaps a tad bit forceful, and for that I apologize. As I have said, it is our job to listen to community members concerns and to do our best to make sure this space remains safe for everyone. Due to previous experiences, we’ve gotten good at telling when things may be about to get out of hand, but I definitely could’ve worded that better.

I don’t have a median system specifically, but I do have bpd and an osdd system. While my bpd does make some of my osdd symptoms worse (more splitting due to having such a wildly unstable identity), it doesn’t cause my system at all, I know that for a fact. And while bpd and having a system can have symptoms interact, bpd does not, on it’s own, cause a system.

(Now, that doesn’t mean the circumstances that caused bpd could also cause a system- my own abuse caused both my bpd and my system- but only that bpd itself cannot directly cause a system as far as I know. If there’s anyone else with more information though, I’d absolutely love to hear it.)

Signal boosting with some thoughts. It’s been my impression (which I would be absolutely ready to hear other opinions on) that no mood or panic or anxiety disorder CAUSES a disorder that classifies as “causing” a system, but rather that, as the above post seems to suggest, that the same stressor can cause multiple disorders, some of which can lead to the development of a system.

I am very very interested to see what other people think/know about this, though. It’s been a thought on my mind for a while now.
